Through WQED's partnership with POV, event participants will receive a free sneak peak of the new POV documentary Stateless, followed by a panel discussion.

WQED has assembled a panel that takes you behind the scenes of the documentary, and sheds further light on the crisis of those of Haitian descent in the Dominican Republic left stateless by a 2013 DR decision to take away citizenship. You'll hear from award-winning director Michele Stephenson of her journey to uncover this complex story, and Rosa Iris, the grassroots organizer, attorney, and now Pittsburgher of her work to help families gain the rights denied to them.
