When Leonardo Vega was in the final stages of lung and liver cancer, his eldest daughter Eva Vega-Olds spoke to him in his New Jersey home where he was receiving hospice care. She used the StoryCorps app to capture some of her father’s memories and preserve the sound of his voice in his last days.
